Mary Pukenis is an experienced library professional currently serving as the Branch Manager of Santa Cruz Public Library since March 2023. Prior to this role, Mary held various positions in library services, including Library Assistant at Minitex Library Information Network, where responsibilities encompassed managing interlibrary loan systems, supervising workflows, and training staff. Additional experience includes roles at Washington County Library and Carthage College, where Mary developed skills in reference services and interlibrary loan coordination. Mary also possesses retail experience as a Sales Associate with Columbia Sportswear Company and American Girl, alongside early career roles focused on customer service and community engagement. Mary holds a Master of Library & Information Science from St. Catherine University and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science from Carthage College.
