Walter Andrei Freire has worked in the software engineering industry since 2013. Walter Andrei began their career as a Student at CATSA/ACSTA in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Student Software Engineer at Sonus, and as a mobile engineer student at Industry Canada/Industrie Canada. In 2015, they were a Research Analyst at the Department of National Defence. In 2016, they worked as a Test Operator at Sanmina. From 2017 to 2021, they were a Software Developer at Perle Systems, and currently works as a Software Engineer at Sanctuary AI.

Walter Andrei Freire has a diverse educational background. Walter Andrei began their studies in 2011 at the University of Ottawa, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering in 2016. During this time, they also earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computing Technology in 2016. In 2019, they began pursuing a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence at Ryerson University, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
