Ismael B. has extensive experience in library and graphic design professions. Currently, Ismael serves as Technology Librarian II at San Mateo County Libraries since January 2017, with a focus on connecting the community to enriching services. Prior roles at the same organization include Senior Librarian, CTS II, Community Technology Specialist, and Library Assistant, all emphasizing the mission to create inclusive and learner-friendly environments. Ismael also has a strong background in graphic design, holding the position of Senior Graphic Designer at Eymann's Professional Photography since May 2006 and previously serving as Senior Graphic Web Designer at Spartans Sports Club, among other roles. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from San Jose State University, as well as an Associate of Arts in Graphic Design/Communications from Foothill College.
