Ashlyn Bernier has a wealth of experience in operations, finance, and leadership. Ashlyn began their career in 2006 as a student at the University of Alberta, completing an MBA with a Technology Commercialization specialization and a PhD in the Faculty of Medicine. In 2011, they served as the Media and Marketing Chair for the WISEST Golf Tournament Planning. In 2012, they were the President of the Graduate Student's Association of the University of Alberta, representing the interests of 7000+ graduate students. In 2013, they were a Contract Consultant for Aquila Diagnostics Inc. and a Manager of the Venture Mentoring Service at the University of Alberta. In 2014, they served as the Executive, Operations Chair for TEDxEdmonton. In 2015, they were the Operations Manager for Athletigen, helping to raise over $2.5M USD. In 2016, they were the COO of The Uncomplicated Family, devising strategy, operational goals, metrics and execution plans. In 2017, they were the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Finance & Operations for Samdesk, and the Director of Finance & Operations for Visio Media.

Ashlyn Bernier completed their Bachelor of Science in General and Biological Sciences from the University of Alberta in 2006. Ashlyn then went on to pursue their Doctorate of Philosophy in Laboratory Medicine and Pathology from the University of Alberta, which they completed in 2011. Finally, they earned their Master of Business Administration - MBA in Technology Commercialization from the University of Alberta in 2013.
