Jacob Thompson has extensive work experience in the financial services industry. Jacob started their career at Frost Bank as a Credit Analyst/Associate Relationship Manager in 1999 before moving on to SAMCO Capital Markets, Inc. in 2000, where they worked as an Analyst/Associate until 2006. Jacob then became a Managing Director at SAMCO Capital Markets, Inc. from 2006 to 2007.

In 2007, Thompson joined Commerce Street Capital, LLC as a Managing Director, specializing in investment banking and corporate finance for financial institutions, particularly community and commercial banks. Jacob provided financial advisory services, mergers and acquisitions, valuations, and fairness opinions for clients in the financial industries until 2010.

Thompson returned to SAMCO Capital Markets, Inc. in 2010 as a Managing Director, where they continue to work. Additionally, they served as an Advisory Board Member at AccessBank Texas from 2012 to 2014.
