Julie H. has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Julie began their career as a Spanish Teacher at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School, where they worked from 2001 to 2018. Following this, they served as a Spanish Teacher at Winfield High School from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, Julie took on the role of a High School Spanish Teacher at St. Mary's High School, where they stayed until 2021. Julie then moved on to St. Dominic High School, where they worked as a High School Spanish Teacher from 2021 to 2021. Alongside their teaching career, Julie also gained experience as a Sales Clerk at the Saint Louis Zoo in 2016. Most recently, they took on customer service responsibilities as a Bilingual Customer Service Representative Dispatch at Access2Care from 2022 to 2023. Currently, Julie holds the position of a Customer Service Representative - Concierge, Bilingual at Access2Care, which they started in June 2023.
Julie H. has a strong academic background in Spanish language and literature. Julie pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Spanish with distinction and German from Missouri State University, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. During their undergraduate years, they also embarked on study abroad programs at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Ciudad de México (1993) and the Universität Trier (1995).
Julie furthered their studies by obtaining a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Spanish Language and Literature from Washington University in St. Louis, which they completed from 2000 to 2001. Additionally, they attended the Middlebury College Summer Spanish Language School in 2000.
To enhance their teaching qualifications, Julie acquired the Missouri K-12 Spanish certification from the State of Missouri in 2009.
