Megan Aylott has extensive work experience in the fashion industry. Megan began their career as a Knitwear Technician at the University of the Arts London in 2010. Megan then worked as a Knitwear Designer Part Time at Livingstone Studio from February 2010 to July 2010. Following that, they became a Product Developer at Roland Mouret from June 2010 to June 2011, where they collaborated with the senior designer. Megan then joined Austin Reed Group as a Design Assistant from June 2011 to December 2012, where they focused on knitwear, jersey, and denim design. Megan then worked as a Freelance Knitwear Designer from December 2012 to August 2013.
In 2013, Megan became the Creative Director and Co-Founder of MEAME, a performance fashion brand. During their time there, MEAME gained recognition from various press publications and was worn by sports stars and celebrities. MEAME's designs were also showcased at The Design Museum.
From July 2017 to June 2019, Megan worked as a Design Development Specialist for various luxury fashion brands as a freelancer. This involved design management and technical design for Sunuva, luxury swimwear brand, and Monk, an ethical clothing brand. Megan also worked as a technical designer for a luxury cashmere knitwear range.
Most recently, Megan worked at Saint And Sofia, starting in June 2019 as a Senior Womenswear Designer and later being promoted to Head of Design in January 2020.
Megan Aylott attended the University of the Arts London from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a BA Hons degree in Textile Design, specializing in Knitwear.
