Georgy Mayo is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in leading diverse teams across various sectors, including resources, mining, energy, oil and gas, infrastructure, and utilities. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Engagement and Strategic Relations at SA Water since August 2023, Georgy has previously held positions such as Senior Government Relations and Industry Manager at Transurban, Queensland Director at the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA), and Director of Resource Policy at the Queensland Resources Council. Georgy's career began with the National Native Title Tribunal and the Federal Court of Australia, where a deep understanding of Native Title law was developed. Education includes a Bachelor of Laws Honours and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Queensland University of Technology, complemented by mediation training from Leadr and brief attendance at Harvard Law School.
