Velton Hix has over 30 years of experience in engineering, specializing in design and manufacturing in various industries. Currently serving as a Design Engineer at Royston LLC since July 1998, Velton focuses on product design for metal shelving, checkout counters, and cabinet manufacturing, contributing to high-profile clients such as 7-Eleven and Walmart. Prior roles include Manufacturing Engineer at Baldor Electric Company, where work was done in the AC Motors Winding Division, and Design Engineer at RHC Spacemaster Research, overseeing store fixture manufacturing. Velton began a career in engineering as a Plant Engineer at Gem Southeast, Inc., focusing on product design in metal fabrication, and as a Shaft Manufacturing Programmer at Reliance Electric Company, handling CNC programming and time routing. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from The University of Georgia, obtained between 1985 and 1990.
