Khaled Hamdan is an experienced medical professional specializing in gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Khalifa University College of Medicine since January 2021, Khaled also holds the position of Consultant UGI & Bariatric Surgeon at Healthpoint Hospital since September 2017. Additionally, Khaled has been a Consultant UGI, Laparoscopic & Bariatric Surgeon at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals, and an Honorary Consultant UGI Surgeon at Worthing General Hospital since January 2010. Other roles include General Surgery Research Lead at BSUH and Deputy Surgical Tutor at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, as well as Honorary Clinical Tutor at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Khaled's academic contributions extend to being a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Brighton and Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS). Khaled holds a Bachelor of Medicine from Southampton School of Medicine and a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Dundee, with a focus on the early detection of oesophago-gastric cancer.
