Senior Principal Engineer at Route

Bryan Call has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Bryan is currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at Route since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Route as the Senior Director of Platform Engineering from April 2020 to December 2022.

Before joining Route, Bryan held the position of Director of Engineering at Drip from December 2018 to March 2020. Bryan was responsible for overseeing the engineering department during their tenure.

From November 2015 to December 2018, Bryan worked at InsideSales.com, where they held the role of Director of Engineering. Bryan led multiple product teams and played a significant role in platform architecture efforts, including building microservices on AWS and Azure. Bryan was also responsible for integrating CRM systems and building the email platform with various integrations.

At Vivint, Bryan served as a Principal Software Developer/Architect from December 2013 to November 2014.

Prior to Vivint, Bryan worked at LinkTrust Technologies/Burstabit Media as the Chief Architect/VP of Technology from June 2007 to November 2013. Bryan was responsible for the architecture and implementation of an enterprise SaaS solution for the online marketing industry.

Bryan also worked at Burstabit Media as a Software Engineer from November 2006 to May 2007. Bryan improved the architecture of an enterprise application for the online advertising industry and introduced test-driven development to the system.

Before joining Burstabit Media, Bryan returned to Orchid Event Solutions as the Director of Development from March 2006 to November 2006. Bryan oversaw a team of programmers and coordinated with clients for custom programming.

In 2005, Bryan participated in an international exchange program with TUXPAN INGENIERÍA LTDA in Chile. Bryan evaluated the use of test-driven design with their in-house J2EE CASE tool.

Bryan's work at Orchid Event Solutions/Morris Meetings & Incentives from June 2004 to October 2005 led to the formation of a new division. Bryan served as the software architect for this division and continued the development of their software product.

Their career started at Morris Meetings & Incentives in June 2001, where they worked as the Lead Systems Programmer. Bryan developed Orchid, a system for managing incentive travel and convention registration, using Visual Basic 6.0 and SQL Server 2000 with ASP 3.

Bryan Call attended the University of Utah from 1998 to 2005, where they pursued a degree in Spanish with a minor in Computer Science. Their studies focused on Computer Science, Spanish, and International Business with a particular emphasis on Latin American affairs.
