Simon Burr is an accomplished engineering and technology leader with extensive experience in the aerospace sector. Currently serving as Director of Engineering & Technology for Civil Aerospace at Rolls-Royce since April 2014, Simon has held multiple senior positions, including Chief Operating Officer for Civil Large Engines and Director of the Trent XWB Programme. Prior to this, Simon was President of Controls and Data Services at Rolls-Royce plc and CEO of Aero Engine Controls. With a solid foundation in mechanical engineering from the University of Strathclyde, earned in 1989, Simon also held key roles at Goodrich Engine Control Systems, where leadership was demonstrated as Vice President of Engineering & Programmes.
