Sarah Paterson is a seasoned professional in community services and recreation management, currently serving as the Manager of Recreational and Community Supports for Rocky View County since December 2024. Previously, Sarah held the position of Manager of Community Recreation at the City of Grande Prairie and was the Director of Community Services for the Town of Vermilion. With substantial experience as a Wellness Coordinator for the Lloydminster Public School Division and a Project Coordinator/Volunteer Coordinator for Prairie North Health Region, Sarah has a strong background in developing and implementing community-focused programs. Sarah's early career included roles such as a Therapeutic Recreation Assistant with Alberta Health Services and a Manager of Recreation Programming for Fort Nelson First Nations. Educational qualifications include a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education and a Diploma in Emergency Medical Technology from the Justice Institute of British Columbia, supplemented by a Certificate in 4 Seasons of Reconciliation from First Nations University of Canada.
