Bonnie Smith is a Senior Intellectual Property Counsel at Rockwell Automation since January 2022, specializing in the legal protection of intellectual property assets and supporting M&A activities for multiple business sectors, including Power Control and Industrial Components. Prior to this role, Bonnie served as a Partner at Renner Otto from May 2015 to January 2022, providing counsel in various IP matters related to mechanical and electrical technologies. Additionally, Bonnie worked as a Patent Attorney at HELMHOLDT LAW PLC, focusing on patent prosecution for a Tier 1 automotive supplier. Bonnie holds a Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan.
