Derek Wheeler is an experienced software engineer and educator with a focus on mobile development and project management. Currently, Derek serves as a Principal Software Engineer at Robin since May 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Lead Mobile Developer at EF Educational Tours and Software Engineer II at MyWebGrocer, where responsibilities encompassed mobile application solutions and project management. Derek has also served as a Scrum Master and Project Coordinator, overseeing a development team and managing project schedules. In academia, Derek has instructed at the University of Vermont's Taekwondo Club and taught senior-level courses in the Computer Science and Innovation department at Champlain College. Derek holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Vermont.
