Dr. Carola Hilbrand has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. From 2014 onward, they have worked at Rittal GmbH & Co. KG, starting as a Corporate Communications Manager and later progressing to Assistant to CEO. Dr. Carola then took on the role of Director of Corporate Communications and subsequently Director of Corporate and Brand Communications. Additionally, they temporarily served as the Interim Team Leader for Marketing.
Prior to their time at Rittal GmbH & Co. KG, Dr. Hilbrand worked at the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (GCSC) as a Project Manager and Researcher from 2011 to 2014. Earlier in their career, they served as a Journalist at both dpa Deutsche Presse-Agentur GmbH from 2009 to 2011 and Westdeutsche Zeitung from 2004 to 2011. Dr. Carola also worked as a Journalist at Kölner Rundschau from 2009 to 2011.
Dr. Carola Hilbrand began their education in 2006 at the University of Cologne, where they pursued a degree in Medienwissenschaften, ultimately completing their studies in 2011. Following this, they attended Justus Liebig University Giessen from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained their Dr. phil. degree in Medienkulturwissenschaft. In addition to their academic achievements, Dr. Hilbrand also earned two additional certifications. In March 2014, they obtained the Basiszertifikat Projektmanagement from GPM, IPMA. Later, in October 2017, they completed a certification in Strategisches Management from the Management School St. Gallen.
