Vinit Saxena has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Vinit is currently serving as the Group Head of Security Operations at RioZim Ltd since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Use Case Architect at Electron Bridge from November 2019 to September 2021.
Before their role at Electron Bridge, Vinit held various positions at the Ministry of Defence of India. Vinit served as the Head of the Technical Support Group from June 2016 to July 2019, where they were responsible for conceptualization, system analysis, design, and implementation of ICT projects and e-governance tools. Vinit also served as the Head of Operations, Administration, and Human Resources from December 2010 to June 2016, where they automated the information processing center and planned for the modernization of strategic operations. Additionally, Vinit worked as a Project Manager from February 2008 to November 2010, where they planned and implemented telecom and IT projects for capacity building and redundancy planning.
Prior to their tenure at the Ministry of Defence, Vinit worked as a Project Manager for the Experimental, Evaluation & Technical Support Unit and the Regional Telecommunication and IT Manager at the Ministry of Defence of India. In these roles, they formulated project requirements, assessed and validated intelligence gathering systems, and managed the commissioning and implementation of regional network management centers.
Vinit's earlier professional experiences include serving as the Team Lead for Telecommunications and IT roles. Vinit managed and supervised communication and IT infrastructure, negotiated vendor contracts, and installed dedicated digital networks for reliable communication services.
Overall, Vinit Saxena has had a successful career in various roles related to security operations, IT architecture, project management, and technical support in both private and government sectors.
Vinit Saxena holds a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Computer Science from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Institution of Engineers of India (IEI) in Kolkata, which they completed between 1987 and 1993.
In addition to their formal education, Vinit Saxena has acquired several certifications. Vinit obtained the ICSI | CNSS Certified Network Security Specialist certification from ICSI (International CyberSecurity Institute) in the UK in June 2020. Vinit also completed the Foundational Artificial Intelligence course from SkillUp Online in May 2020. Furthermore, they obtained a certification in Microsoft Project Professional from Edureka in November 2019, and they received an ITIL Foundation Level certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in March 2019. In April 2005, they completed the Advance Cyber Security and Cryptology program at the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering. Additionally, they obtained the PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner Certification Training from AXELOS Global Best Practice in October 2019.
