Lachlan Cumming is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience in leadership and operations management within Rio Tinto and BHP. Currently serving as General Manager Integrated Operations for the Iron Ore Company of Canada, Lachlan leads a large team to ensure the safe movement of 200 million tonnes of material annually, managing multiple areas including mine development and production engineering. Previous roles include Mining Operations Manager and Fixed Plant Manager, where Lachlan demonstrated a commitment to safety and efficiency, achieving significant milestones in injury-free performance and productivity. Education credentials include a Master’s Degree in Mineral and Energy Economics from Curtin Graduate School of Business and a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mining) and Commerce from the University of Wollongong.
