Ergo Tars serves as the Director General at Riigi IKT Keskus, overseeing information and communication technology initiatives in Estonia since January 2022. Previous roles include Head of IT Consolidation at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and Director General of the IT Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. With extensive experience in various IT leadership positions, including Chief Information Officer at EVR CARGO and Head of Corporate Business Technology at Eesti Energia AS, Tars has successfully managed teams and implemented technological strategies across multiple organizations. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Product Development from TalTech and a College Diploma in Personal Computers and Computer Networks from Tallinna Polütehnikum.
