Melanie Barber, P.E., currently serves as the Chief Risk Officer and Senior Advisor to the Chief Financial Officer at the United States Mint since July 2016. Prior to this role, Melanie held various positions at Versar, including Acting Branch Chief of Talent Management and Client Account Manager, where responsibilities included managing the US Army Client Account and strategic planning. As Operations Manager for the Springfield Operations, Melanie oversaw business performance within the Environmental Services Group. Previous experience includes serving as Project Manager and Business Development Leader at CH2M Hill, managing a $7M construction project for Tepa, LLC, and working as a Project Engineer at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Melanie began a military career as a Lieutenant and Brigade Comptroller in the US Army after earning a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
