Michael Hauptmann has a diverse work experience that begins in 2007 as an Honor Caddy at Twin Orchard Country Club. From there, they worked as a Chassis Team Leader and later as Technical Director for the Iowa State Formula SAE team, where they managed a team and oversaw the design and manufacturing aspects of creating a race car. Michael also worked as a Data Acquisition/Active Aerodynamics Engineer for the same team, analyzing test data and implementing an active-aero system. In 2015, Michael interned as a Product Development Intern at Iowa Mold Tooling Co., Inc., where they focused on reducing weight and simplifying products through FEA simulations. Michael then joined FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, working as a Steering Design & Release Engineer until 2020. Currently, they are a Design Engineer and Project Lead - Aftermarket Off-Road Engineering at Fox Factory, responsible for managing project timelines and determining technical solutions.
