Tyler Carlson has extensive work experience in the transportation and commodity merchandising industry. Tyler began their career at Bison Transport Inc. in 2007, where they worked as an Intermodal Coordinator until 2009. In 2009, they joined Richardson International as a Transportation Coordinator, specializing in rail transportation. Tyler then progressed within the company, taking on roles such as Manager of East Coast and West Coast Corridor Rail Transportation. From 2015 to 2022, they served as a Commodity Merchant, responsible for managing various commodities. Tyler currently holds the position of Director of Operations at Richardson International, a role they have been in since April 2022.

Tyler Carlson obtained a Bachelor's (Honours) degree in Commerce - Asper from the University of Manitoba between the years 2003 and 2007. In 2006, they also briefly attended FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas where they studied Business Administration.
