Alan Goddard is an experienced Project Manager at Nidec Control Techniques since November 2016, overseeing projects for mainstream software products and managing the Shrewsbury/Telford office. Previous roles include Team Leader and Senior Software Engineer at Emerson Automation Solutions from 2005 to October 2016, where development of Windows applications using C#, .Net, WPF, and other technologies was a focus. Prior experience also includes positions as a Software Development Engineer at Asta Development, Contract Software Engineer at Osmetech plc, and Development Engineer at Giesecke & Devrient, with responsibilities ranging from multi-threaded application development to real-time image processing. Early career experiences involved contract work with IFAW/Cambridge University on whale surveying technologies and a student engineering role at Racal Instruments. Alan Goddard holds a PhD in Computer Engineering and a BSc Hons in Electronics Engineering, both from City, University of London.
