MacIntyre Laura has extensive experience in community organizing and academic roles. Currently serving as a Flint Organizer with Restaurant Opportunities Centers United since April 2020, and as a Lecturer at the University of Michigan-Flint since August 2008, MacIntyre also holds the position of City of Flint Service Line Settlement Community Liaison for the Natural Resources Defense Council since November 2018. Previous roles include organizing for various initiatives related to workers' rights and community engagement. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Sociology from UC San Diego and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Smith College, complemented by time as a Visiting Scholar at the University of York.
