Lauren Lyon has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Lauren is currently the Director of Marketing and Communications at Resources for Community Development, where they lead all marketing, communications, and fund development efforts. Prior to this role, Lauren worked at Chevron in various positions, including Education and Corporate Programs Advisor, Global Social Investment Advisor, and Global Partnerships & Programs Specialist. In these roles, they managed Chevron's nonprofit grantees, supported C-suite engagement, and worked on initiatives to foster collaboration and build capacity. Before working at Chevron, Lauren was the Program & Communications Director at the Volunteer Center of the East Bay, where they developed and directed the AmeriCorps Volunteer Infrastructure Program. Lauren also has experience in education, having worked as an English Teacher at Albany High School and as a Student Teacher at Gateway High School and Oakland Technical High School. Lauren began their career at the Volunteer Center of the East Bay as an Office Manager before progressing to the role of Program Director. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong leadership, relationship management, and program development skills.
Lauren Lyon has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literatures in English from UC San Diego. Lauren also has a Master of Arts degree in Education from the University of California, Berkeley.
