Anita Sommers currently serves as a Senior Employee Engagement Specialist at the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, a position held since August 2022. Previous roles include Human Resource Generalist at the same organization, and Personnel Analyst at the Nevada Department of Corrections from November 2021 to August 2022. Anita's extensive experience in human resources includes serving as Personnel Analyst 3 at the State of Nevada Division of Human Resource Management and progressing through various personnel analyst positions with the State of Nevada. Early career experience includes HR Analyst roles with the Nevada Department of Transportation and the Nevada Gaming Control Board, as well as administrative and support roles within the State of Nevada's Aging and Disability Services Division and Storey County Sheriff's Office.
