Barry Schimmel is a seasoned consultant currently at Renne Public Law Group since July 2018. Previously served as a Business Representative for BAFA IATSE Local 119, representing technical professionals in the broadcasting industry. At SAG-AFTRA from September 2011 to January 2017, Schimmel negotiated various Collective Bargaining Agreements and aimed to find common ground between performers and producers through Interest Based Bargaining. Prior experience includes serving as a Business Agent for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, where negotiations and training efforts supported over 3,000 members, and as Secretary-Treasurer for the Independent Federation of Flight Attendants, overseeing the financial management of a 6,500 member union. Academic background includes studies at California State University, Long Beach.
