Julie A. serves as Data Protection Officer and Senior Privacy and Data Protection Manager at Remerge, overseeing non-EU entities in collaboration with the EU DPO since April 2021. In addition to these roles, Julie has been an active member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) since September 2019, contributing as a Privacy Bar Section Advisory Board Member. Previous experience includes leading the Legal & Compliance team at Emma – The Sleep Company, where operations were structured from the ground up for over 25 countries. Julie's legal expertise is further supported by a strong educational background featuring multiple advanced degrees in Law, including a Master of Laws in Corporate Law from Ibmec. Julie has held various legal counsel and management positions at organizations such as UnitedHealth Group and Fundação Getulio Vargas, demonstrating extensive knowledge in contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and data protection.
