Marketing Analyst at Kleinanzeigen

Kurt Cheng has a diverse work experience in marketing and data analysis. Kurt is currently working as a Marketing Analyst at eBay Kleinanzeigen where they collaborate with a diverse marketing team to develop ideas, generate insights, and identify opportunities. Kurt also defines, monitors, and adjusts marketing metrics, as well as supports the Growth and Brand teams with tracking, reporting, and campaign evaluation.

Prior to this, Kurt worked at Nuri as a Data Analyst (Product and Growth) where they used their expertise in product analytics to inform and advise Product teams. Kurt performed rigorous analysis on user behavior and feature adoption, and helped perfect A/B testing strategies for feature release. Kurt also worked on customer journey analysis, including funnel analysis and building automated cohort reports/dashboards.

Before joining Nuri, Kurt held the position of Marketing Data Analyst and Content Manager at One Media Group Limited. During this time, they improved content marketing performance through comment analysis, using tools like Python, SQL, and Google Analytics. Kurt also communicated with clients and managed advertisement campaigns, and contributed marketing and editorial content to a cultural magazine.

Kurt also has experience working as a Research Assistant at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, where they wrangled and cleaned agricultural science data, extracted and visualized information from digital local gazetteers, and transformed data stores using Python and SQL. Additionally, they worked as a Project Consultant at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

Earlier in their career, Kurt worked at MoneyHero as a Marketing Content Specialist, promoting a platform for comparing financial products. Kurt built a price prediction model and conducted web scraping using machine learning techniques. Kurt also served as a Social Media Content Specialist at NDN Group (HK) Limited, developing and managing social media channels for corporate brands, formulating digital content and marketing strategy, and working on key projects for various brands.

Kurt's work experience also includes being a Sole Curator and Chief music editor at Fullcupmusic, where they curated music shows, produced and edited on-show clips, and managed content for a music magazine and social media platforms.

Kurt Cheng completed a Data Analytics Bootcamp in Berlin, Germany at Ironhack in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Lingnan University from 2008 to 2011.
