Helle Knudsen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in health and care innovation, energy efficiency, and international relations. Currently serving as Chief Consultant at Region Syddanmark since October 2015, Helle focuses on strategy and policy development, as well as public-private partnerships. Prior roles include Chief Consultant and Co-ordinator of International Affairs at the Region of Southern Denmark, where significant contributions were made to various strategic projects, including the EU INTERREG IV C Mini-programme. With a background in regional development and EU affairs dating back to roles such as International Co-ordinator at Vejle Amt and Committee Secretary at the Assembly of European Regions, Helle's expertise is bolstered by advanced degrees in French and Arabic Area Studies from the University of Southern Denmark.
