Marina Michel is a Module Design Engineer at RECARO Aircraft Seating since August 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Student Research Assistant at the Institut für Textilmaschinen und Textile Hochleistungswerkstofftechnik (ITM), TU Dresden from January 2020 to December 2021, where a master's thesis focused on the functionalization of yarns for micro and nanoplastic filtration. Marina also completed a bachelor's thesis at Schoeller Textil AG, Switzerland, examining the effects of atmospheric plasma treatment on functional textiles in 2019 and interned at Empa in the Department of Biomimetic Membranes and Textiles in 2017. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Textile and Clothing Technology from Technische Universität Dresden and a Bachelor of Engineering in Textile Technology/ Textile Management from HS Reutlingen, alongside an earlier qualification as a Clothing Technology Assistant from Frankfurter Schule für Bekleidung und Mode.
