Haruka Kakei has been working in the tech industry since 2017. Haruka began their career at DaXtra Technologies as a Language Applications Engineer, where they researched and developed a natural language processing engine to extract information from free text and CVs in multiple languages. Additionally, they helped with web design and graphic design for the products. In 2022, they moved to RazorSecure, where they are currently working as a Junior Full Stack Developer, developing train cyber security software.

Haruka Kakei obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Design Informatics from Musashino Art University between 2009 and 2014. In 2015, they obtained an iELTS 7.5 certification and then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) in Design and Digital Media at The University of Edinburgh, which they completed in 2016.
