Heather DeHaven's work experience begins with their current role as a Software Engineer at Raptor Maps, where they started in June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Engineering Intern at Raptor Maps from May to August 2021. Heather also has experience as an Agile Developer Co-op at SAP from September 2019 to August 2020. Heather volunteered as a Web Developer for Feeding Our Frontlines from June to July 2020, contributing to the development of their website. Additionally, Heather participated in the Women in Technology Program at BAE Systems, Inc. from October 2015 to February 2016. Heather also worked as a Field Researcher at Operation Wallacea in June 2015.

Heather DeHaven attended Bishop Guertin High School from 2013 to 2017. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at The University of British Columbia from 2017 to 2022. In 2016, they also participated in the Advanced Studies Program at St. Paul's School, focusing on Engineering.
