Michael Harstad

Vice President Of Construction at Ram Realty Advisors

Michael Harstad has a diverse and extensive work experience in the construction industry. Michael started their career as a Field Engineer at PCL Construction in 1979, where they provided support to the project team. Michael then worked at Al Cohen Construction as an Estimator, Project Engineer, and eventually a Project Manager, successfully recovering a project in distress.

In 1986, Harstad joined The Weitz Company, where they held various roles, including Project Manager, Sr Project Manager, Vice President, Construction Manager, and Vice President, Preconstruction. Michael was responsible for managing profit/loss and schedules for their assigned projects, and they also played a significant role in opening a new office in Colorado Springs.

Harstad continued their career at Woolems, Inc as the Director of Preconstruction, and later joined Facchina Construction of Florida, LLC in the same role. Michael also worked as an Adjunct Professor at Everglades University, teaching classes on Estimating and Scheduling.

Currently, Harstad is the Vice President of Construction at Ram Realty Services.

Michael Harstad obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Mineral Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, where they studied from 1975 to 1979. Michael then pursued further education and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Business from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business from 2003 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Michael Harstad has also obtained certifications, including being a Certified Professional Estimator from the American Society of Professional Estimators, which they achieved in September 2009, and being a LEED (R) Accredited Professional from the Green Building Certification Institute, which they attained in March 2009.
