Chris Nicol is an experienced Electrical Engineer currently working at SMART Technologies since July 2010, focusing on the development of hardware for innovative DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Prior to this role, Chris served as a Firmware Engineer at the same company, where firmware and diagnostic tools for interactive educational technologies were developed. Previous experience includes working as an Electronics Contractor at the Science Alberta Foundation, where electronics design and repair for educational devices were responsibilities, a Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary, and an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom, specializing in control systems for forestry equipment. Chris Nicol holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
