Lauren Pezent started their work experience in 2004 as a Prepress Technician at Prystup Packaging Products, Inc. Lauren later became a 7th/8th Grade Teacher at West Alabama Christian School from 2012 to 2014. Returning to Prystup Packaging Products, Inc. in 2015, Lauren worked as a Business Development specialist before transitioning to a role in Sustainable Development. As of August 2021, they hold the position of HR & Employee Development Director at Prystup Packaging Products, Inc.

Lauren Pezent completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Maryville College, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Lauren further pursued their education at The University of West Alabama, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business/Commerce, General. Their MBA program spanned from 2015 to 2018.
