Shahabedin Eslami, MASc, PMP, has extensive work experience in the field of technical operations and project management. Shahabedin currently serves as Technical Operations Specialist and Project Manager at Providence Therapeutics since 2022. Prior to this, they held various managerial positions at Sanofi from 2016-2022, including Manager of the B100 Autonomous Production Team (APT) Lead, Project Lead of Manufacturing Technology, Manager of Downstream Process Validations at Manufacturing Technology, and Consultant at Sanofi-Pasteur. From 2013-2016, they worked as a Research Associate at the University of Waterloo. In 2012, they were a Technical Operation New Product Launch (R&D) at Apotex Inc. From 2010-2012, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo, where they conducted comprehensive literature reviews on biological and chemical separation processes, developed and characterized a new Chitosan/Sericin membrane for controlled release systems of drugs applied in transdermal drug delivery, and was in charge of developing experimental protocols and conducting laboratory experiments to characterize synthetic membranes and assess the amount of drugs being released by membranes. From 2008-2010, they served as Project Manager/Technology Master Analyst at the Think Tank of Nanotechnology-Ministry of Health and Medical Education I.R. IRAN, where they investigated trouble shooting solutions for I. R. IRAN's technology incubators functionalities and performed commercialization assessment of national nanomedicine research projects in I.
Shahabedin Eslami has an extensive educational background. Shahabedin obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Islamic Azad University in 2003. After that, they went on to earn a Master's degree in Biochemical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic in 2007. In 2010, they earned a Master of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Two years later, they earned a Master of Applied Science in Systems Design Engineering from the same university. Shahabedin has also obtained several certifications, including a Six Sigma Green Belt from the University of Toronto in 2018, Agile Project Management from the Project Management Association of Canada in 2016, Human Centered Approaches in Biomedical Engineering from Jade University of Applied Science- Wilhelmshaven Germany in 2009, Advanced Separation Technologies in Chemical Engineering from TU Berlin in 2008, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2020.
