Shawn Barnes has extensive experience in education and coaching, currently serving as the JV Boys Basketball Coach and the 8th Grade Head Boys Basketball Coach at Providence Day School since June 2022. Previously, Shawn has been a Middle School Teacher for CTE Business Education at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools since September 2019, focusing on technology integration and educational trends. Shawn also coached Middle School Boys Basketball at Randolph Middle School from August 2004 to June 2022. Earlier roles include teaching technology across various grades at Kannapolis Charter Academy, Sugar Creek Charter School, and Charlotte Choice Charter School, as well as serving in multiple technology and educational roles at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools since 1999. Shawn holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Phoenix.
