Abby D'Cruz has worked for three companies in the past few years. In 2020, they worked for CBPartners as a Manager, Senior Analyst, and Analyst. In 2021, they moved to Trinity Life Sciences and worked as a Senior Consultant. Currently, they are working as the Head of Strategy and Operations at Probably Genetic since 2022.

Abby D'Cruz completed a DPhil in Clinical Medicine at the University of Oxford from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science - Honours Year from The Australian National University in 2012 to 2013, with a field of study in Cell and Molecular Biology. Abby also completed a Bachelor of Science from The Australian National University from 2009 to 2012, with a triple major in Cell and Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Immunology, and Genetics.
