Mark Shand has over three decades of experience in the chemical industry, currently serving as the Director of Product Development & Process at Premier Magnesia, LLC since July 1990. In this role, Mark oversees the manufacturing of various magnesium compounds and possesses extensive knowledge in magnesia-based cements. Previously, Mark worked as a Research Chemist at Courtaulds, PLC, where innovative projects included the development of a ‘laser punched’ spinneret for rayon fiber and research into cellulose fiber pulping methods. Mark holds both a Bachelor's degree and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Warwick, obtained between 1980 and 1986.
