Johan Beyer has over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. Johan began their career in 1989 as a Product Development and Promotion Manager for Volvo Finance North America. Johan then moved on to become a Merchandising & Marketing Services Manager for the same company in 1991. In 1998, they were promoted to Manager of Business Development for Volvo Car Corporation. In 2001, they were promoted again to Market Area Manager for Volvo Car Corporation, where they managed the $300 million Special Vehicles operations in the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Benelux and North America. In 2004, they became President & CEO of Revent International, a manufacturer of commercial equipment in the food production industry. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Management Consultant for Volvo Group Venture Capital, managing a cleantech start-up. Johan then worked as a Management Consultant for Mintage Scientific from 2010 to 2012, before becoming Senior Sales & Marketing Director for Westport Innovations, a leading developer of alternative fuel, low-emissions transportation technologies. Finally, they have been a Business Manager for PowerCell Sweden AB since 2016.

Johan Beyer attended Millburn High School from 1978 to 1981. Johan then went on to Lehigh University College of Business, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance between 1981 and 1985. Finally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business between 1987 and 1990.
