Shawn Schafer is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in network architecture and operations. Currently serving as a Senior Solutions Architect at Portland General Electric since January 2019, Shawn oversees dual data centers, ACI and Palo Alto deployments, and supports network infrastructure for smart grid initiatives. Prior roles include Senior Network Architect at The Greenbrier Companies, where Shawn led global WAN and data center architecture, and Senior Network Engineer at Earthlink Business, contributing to Backbone Architecture and Core Operations. Early career experience includes managing a nationwide network at New Edge Networks and operational roles as a NOC Technician. Shawn holds a CISSP certification from Portland State University, a GCIH certification from SANS Institute, and a CCNA certification from Clark College.
