Cristabelle Lopez-Arvelo, Esq. is an accomplished legal and compliance professional with extensive experience in the banking and finance sectors. Currently serving as the AVP Senior Compliance Officer II and Training Program Officer at Popular since April 2019, Cristabelle coordinates the development and administration of compliance training. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Legal Counsel and Jr. Legal Counsel at Americas Leading Finance, LLC, where complex operational and legal issues were addressed and a Compliance Management System framework was implemented. Further experience includes regulatory compliance auditing at Banco Santander Puerto Rico, paralegal responsibilities at various law offices, and compliance analysis during an internship at Scotiabank Puerto Rico. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from Universidad Interamericana Puerto Rico Facultad de Derecho, a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Kent, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & Anthropology from Universidad de Puerto Rico.
