John Oldefendt has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. John started their career in 1988 as a Passenger Service Representative at Royal Cruise Line. John then worked as an Independent Contractor, serving as a Transportation & Logistics Manager from 1992 to 2006. In 2006, they joined Metro Shore Services as the Director of Operations, a role they held until 2016 when they were promoted to Vice President of Operations & Business Development. John continued in this position until 2020. Currently, John is the Director of Cruise & Business Development at Polynesian Adventure, a position they assumed in March 2021.

John Oldefendt attended Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, AZ and obtained their High School Diploma. Following this, they continued their education at Whitman College where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
