James Potter, CFA has extensive work experience in finance and strategy. James is currently serving as the SVP of Finance and Strategy for Evergreen and Emerging Brands at Match Group since January 2023. Before that, James held various roles at Plenty of Fish, including VP of Finance and Performance Marketing and Director of Finance. Prior to joining Plenty of Fish, they worked as a Senior Manager of Strategy and Operations at KPMG and as a Manager of Corporate Finance and Strategy (UK) at KPMG UK. James also has experience as a Manager of Strategy at KPMG and as a Senior Consultant at SECOR. James began their career as an Accounting Analyst and Financial Analyst at BC Transmission Corporation.

James Potter, CFA attended St. George's Secondary School, although the duration and field of study are not specified. Subsequently, they pursued their Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University from 2004 to 2008. During this time, they focused on finance, management, operations, international development, and human geography. In 2007, James briefly studied at Copenhagen Business School where they explored the European Union business environment, international finance, and sports economics. Furthermore, in 2014, they obtained their Chartered Financial Analyst certification from the CFA Institute.
