William Neilson is an experienced professional with a background in project management and IT service delivery. William has worked in various roles and industries throughout their career.
Starting in 1989, William worked as an Engineer at Telefonica for ten years. William then joined CH2MHILL as a Regional Business Development Manager from 2001 to 2003.
In 2004, William joined CSC and held multiple roles during their tenure. William first served as a Service Delivery Manager, managing the Newmont Gold account in Peru, where they led a team of 50 technical staff. William was responsible for various areas such as networks, servers, desktop support, and applications. William also implemented IT governance practices in compliance with standards and procedures.
During the same time at CSC, William also worked as a Transition and Transformation Manager, leading the ICT outsourcing process for the Newmont Mining Yanacocha Gold Mine in Peru. William managed the outsourcing processes and implemented various tools to improve operational efficiency.
From 2004 to 2006, William served as the Deputy Director of Operations South America at CSC. In this role, they managed a 150-strong technical team supporting the BHP Billiton account in Chile, Peru, and Brazil. William provided technical support to various BHP assets, including copper mines and administrative buildings. William also oversaw infrastructure projects, including fiber optic links, telephony systems, and network equipment.
In 2008, William joined Hatch Associates as a Project Systems Manager. William was responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting technologies for a major EPCM project. Their duties included defining IT infrastructure, designing risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with global standards, and conducting coordination meetings with clients and stakeholders.
After working at Hatch Associates, William founded their own company called pm.align in 2009. As the Director, they established the company to provide support in project management and service delivery. William utilized their expertise in information and communications technology to deliver high-quality services.
In 2011, William worked as a Project Management Trainer at PMstudy.com, enhancing the knowledge and skills of aspiring project managers. William used their extensive experience to train professionals in the field of project management.
Throughout their career, William has obtained various certifications, including PMP, ITIL, and Prince2, showcasing their expertise in project management and IT service delivery.
William Neilson received their Masters Degree in Microprocessor Technology from The University of Western Australia from 1980 to 1982.
