Johanna Schaub has a diverse work experience in the field of biology and translational sciences. Johanna began their career as a Graduate Student in Cancer Biology at Stanford University School of Medicine, where they studied the regulation of cell signaling. Following this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar in Regenerative Medicine at UCSF, investigating the mechanisms underlying liver regeneration. Since 2017, Johanna has been at Pliant Therapeutics, starting as a Scientist I in Biology and progressing to roles of increasing responsibility, including Senior Scientist and Principal Scientist. Their focus at Pliant Therapeutics has been on translational sciences and biology, contributing to the development of therapeutic solutions.
Johanna Schaub holds a Postdoctoral Fellow degree in Regenerative Medicine and Liver Center from the University of California, San Francisco, achieved between 2012 and 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cancer Biology from Stanford University School of Medicine from 2006 to 2012. Johanna obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Rice University during the period of 2002-2006. Johanna completed their High School education at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology with a focus on Biotechnology between 1998 and 2002.
