James Pursaill has worked in various roles in the digital industry since 2013. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Staff Writer at Pixel Dynamo and a Digital Project Assistant at HarperCollins Publishers, where they worked on the Collins Connect platform for primary and secondary schools. From 2015 to 2016, they were the Project Manager of DKFindout!, which was shortlisted for Platform of the Year by Futurebook and in BrandRepublic's digital awards. In 2016, they were the Digital Project Manager at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, where they supported global conferences, events across 4 offices, pioneering defence research, and product sales for annual and monthly strategic books and databases. James is currently the CTO and Co-Founder of Plend since 2021.

James Pursaill holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing and American Literature from the University of East Anglia, which they obtained between 2008 and 2011. In addition, they have a PRINCE2® 2017 Foundation & Practitioner certification from PeopleCert, obtained in December 2019.
