Sid Karunaratne is a Senior Cloud Engineer at Pix4D, responsible for managing the infrastructure of the company's cloud platform and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for improved visibility and maintainability. Prior to this role, Sid worked as a DevOps Engineer at 8x8, where a migration to Terraform for AWS and GCP significantly enhanced feature turnaround time and reduced costs. Additional experience includes migrating AWS Elastic Beanstalk applications to Kubernetes at Hyphen Group, leading the migration of Zendesk Chat from data center to AWS, and contributing as a back-end developer in various roles, including developing with Python and PHP. Educationally, Sid holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Internet Engineering from the University, completed in 2008.
