Giovanni Turinetti is a seasoned civil and geotechnical engineer with extensive experience in underground structure design, including roles as Design Lead Engineer at Pini Group since October 2022 and Senior Civil Engineer at GEODATA S.p.A. from January 2021 to December 2022. Key projects include the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport Line and the Manila North-South commuter railway project tender. Responsibilities encompass geotechnical and structural design of metro stations, excavation impact assessments on historical buildings, slope stability analyses, and supervision of both public and private projects. Giovanni holds a Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria Civile from Politecnico di Torino and is completing a 2nd Level Master in Tunneling and Tunnel Boring Machines. Academic experience includes research at Politecnico di Torino focused on laboratory testing and numerical modeling.
